The mission of the Oregon-Idaho Board of Camp and Retreat Ministry is: We are a people dedicated to creating sacred spaces of Christian hospitality and learning. Our vision is a world of wonder, love, and justice.
About Suttle Lake
Nestled on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains fourteen miles west of Sisters, Suttle Lake Camp is a special place where the vivid green of Western Oregon mingles with the sunny beauty of the eastern part of the state.
Rich in plant and wildlife communities, Suttle Lake is a natural place to explore God’s creation and experience God’s love in a caring community. Suttle Lake Camp’s camping programs include events for both children and adults with options ranging from the classic Christian summer camp experience for kids to specialized programs such as quilting retreats for adults. In all programs, we strive to answer the question, “How will this experience create a community in which lives can be transformed by Christ?”
We are committed to providing quality experiences and a safe environment. Suttle Lake Camp’s American Camp Association accreditation means that it annually undergoes a thorough (up to 300 standards) review of its operation and program with a keen eye for safety and quality.
Explore the website or contact us to find out how you, your organization, or your child can experience the transformative setting of Suttle Lake Camp.
Suttle Lake Camp believes that all people are children of God and provides radical hospitality to every person who comes.
The next director at Suttle Lake United Methodist Camp will demonstrate an ability to provide Christian hospitality, work as a team member with the other directors and Board staff, lead the staff members at the site, and work with volunteers, as we step into our next century of ministry.
